General Format (‘Lesson Planning’) For BCBA Supervision Sessions

• Update/check in; any administrative needs; how are things going; specific client related issues; specific BCBA Supervision issues….etc.

• As relevant, review relevant coursework being taken simultaneously; check for questions, need for feedback and assignments relevant to supervisory contacts and the 4th Edition Task List.

• Foundational definitions/concepts, theories, principles of human behavior and applications.

• Review written assignment (e.g., Literature Based Behavioral Tactics summary, Supervisor assignmed projects, article reviews).

  • Templates to complete these assignments will be provided.

• Review/discuss videos (videos & written assignments may alternate at the discretion of the Supervisor). When a video has been assigned, the supervisee and I will most often simultaneously watch and discuss the video during the scheduled session.

  • A video self assessment form will be provided to the supervisee prior to the session.

• Identify which skills from the 4th Edition Task list were covered for the scheduled session. Supervisee and Supervisor will keep track together with forms provided by the Supervisor.

Session Contacts & Fees

 

Supervision will be adaptable to the needs of the student whether a request for just a few sessions, attention to specific topic/subject areas based on coureswork and/or professional activities and/or long term regulary scheduled BCBA supervision. Based on accountable experience hours, supervision can be scheduled weekly, biweekly or on a more individualized schedule. 

 

Supervision will typically be done via Skype unless the student is in this Supervisor's geographical area and in person is possible. Based on the variability of requested supervision contacts and scheduling along with individual need, fees will be negotiated at the time of contact and a Supervision Contract signed.

 

I will work hard with each Supervisee to make costs reasonable and manageable while ensuring an always high quality supervisisory and related professional experience. I will also be available for contact between scheduled supervisory sessions on an as needed basis.
