Enhanced Respite Services is in-home care for families/caregivers whose children experience a range of more challenging - & sometimes - higher risk behavioral needs & concerns due to autism, FAS/FAE, developmental & developmental behavioral to include children with toileting & feeding issues.

Enhanced Respite Services allows families/caregivers to either go out OR stay home knowing their child will be positively engaged while receiving direct support for targeted concerns combined with the highest quality care available.

Most families don’t take their younger children with them EVERYWHERE...especially when they know the child just doesn’t like or do well in a specific activity or location...but can't just call on a babysitter or, sometimes, even adult friends & family. Other times, parents/primary caregivers can have things to do at home but may find it difficult while also keeping a constant eye on their child.

I am a doctoral level Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA - D) & certified elementary teacher in both Alaska & South Dakota with over 40 years of providing direct services to children with autism, FAS/FAE, developmental & developmental behavioral needs; families/primary caregivers in homes & communities. I am the primary provider of this service.

Enhanced Respite Services offers parents/caregivers AND the child a REAL BREAK; a chance to rest & reorganize. For the child, it is an opportunity to have positive & fun contact with another adult. For the family/caregivers, it's a chance relax - maybe take care of personal or business matters - then return even better able to do what needs to be done!

Knowing your child is unconditionally safe; knowing your child & his/her individual behavioral & other identified needs will be supported positively & purposefully - that your child will have fun & enjoy these contacts - benefits the child, family/caregivers &, potentially, so many other primary goals.

As I continue to pursue in-network & other avenues for reimbursement, I will ask for out-of-pocket payments for this service. An initial in-home contact & assessment to meet & get to know one another will be scheduled for a very low fee prior to the initiation of Enhanced Respite Services.

Rates are always responsive to individual parent/caregiver status & the type of Enhanced Respite Services requested along with additional service/support needs and interests.
